It’s no secret that I love shopping. I consider the Vogue september issue my annual bible and if it wasn’t frowned upon, I’d live in the Nordstrom shoe department. When it comes to shopping for vintage though, I feel as lost as those hapless souls on “What Not to Wear.” So like any good journalist, I decided the only way to face my fear was to throw myself into it–or in my case, write an article about it. (It also gave me an excuse to check out this place which I’ve driven by every day for the past two months.)
If you want to read about three great vintage shops, check out my article for GALO here: Uncommon Threads
Here are some photos I took at Flower Child–my neighborhood’s vintage store–that didn’t make it into the article. I can’t wait to go back and purchase all the treasures I found, from a sky blue typewriter to fur stole that reminded me of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novels.
