Whatever gets you through

This week marked the official start of second quarter earnings, and everyone in the office is a little stressed. For the uninitiated (consider yourself lucky) companies release their financial results (ie. earnings) four times a year. My workplace is the lucky duck that gets to edit and format the many 14-page earnings that land on our desks. Seeing as I’m still fairly new, I haven’t been tasked with tackling an earnings release yet, but I know my time isn’t far off. On top of all the earnings releases, we’ve still got our normal workload of press releases to handle every day. Needless to say, it’s been a bit hectic at PRN this week, and it’s only Wednesday.

Thank goodness for the Internet. At around 9 p.m., when we all start to feel completely fried, someone passes on a funny story from Buzzfeed or a cute animal picture, and it makes earnings seems a whole lot less stressful. Here are a few of my favorite Internet goodies that are getting me through this quarter.
